Celebrating 27th Anniversary of Malaka Spice!

Malaka Spice is 27 years old! 27 years ago on 25th July, 1997, little did our founders, Praful and Cheeru Chandawarkar know that they would take Pune’s culinary scene a notch higher with Malaka Spice, but here we are! We, the team at the House of Malaka Spice, are incredibly grateful to each and every person who has supported us throughout our journey of establishing in Koregaon Park and expanding in Kharadi. We feel blessed to have a family comprising our guests, our crew, and all the pillars of Malaka.

This year’s celebrations are focussed around the four values that are a part of our mission.

Ahar (Food and Beverage),Vihar (Rest), Aachar (Rest and Relaxation), Vichar (Thoughts and Ambition).Our mission is to excel in hospitality, be a preferred employer, and operate a transparent, profitable business. We are committed to generating employment, nurturing the capabilities of our crew, and contributing to a sustainable ecosystem. Most importantly, we aim to impact the lives of our guests thoughtfully and meaningfully.

We are committed to providing quality and clean food on your plates and stand firm in our dedication to continue doing so. Malaka Spice is renowned for offering the best experience to our guests, with our inspired dishes and hospitality as the foundation of this excellence.

To celebrate our 27th anniversary, we have prepared exceptional offers for our guests and interactive, enjoyable sessions for our crew. Our guests can look forward to a special menu at all our outlets, attractive discount offers during our anniversary week, and a complimentary dessert with their meal. We believe in celebrating our milestones with our guests, as they are the reason for our success over these 27 years.

Our crew is the pillar of Malaka Spice, and we always strive to make them feel at home. To show our appreciation, we have organized 'Bada Khana'—a feast for our crew—and a potluck to keep them entertained and happy. Each team member is invited to bring a dish that evokes fond memories from their childhood.

Vihaar (Rest) :

Rest is one of the core values we firmly believe in. We recognize that as hard as our crew works, they deserve a break to relax and uphold the values we stand for. We believe that achieving maximum outcomes is possible only through balance, which is why Malaka stands firm after 27 years of excellence. For our crew, we have decided to set up bunker beds and rest rooms, allowing them to rest during midday breaks, and a break room filled with fun games.

When we say rest, think Cherish Farm, our agro-tourism property about 45 kms from Malaka Spice, Koregaon Park. All our guests and mitras are eligible to get a 25% discount on stay at our serene Cherish Farm all through July. The farm is designed to bring our guests closer to nature and provide a sense of comfort and calm. Cherish Farm is our 4-acre property on the banks of the Bhima River, where we offer guests the purest harvest and home-cooked authentic, farm fresh food.

Vichaar (Thoughts and Ambition) :

At Malaka Spice, we believe in the growth of our employees, motivating them to achieve their best, and helping them pursue their ambitions with courage. As we celebrate our 27th anniversary, we’ve prepared special activities for both our guests and our crew that incorporate these values.

For our guests, we are thrilled to introduce the Gratitude Wall. This interactive activity invites you to express your thanks by writing what or who you’re thankful for on a post-it note and placing it on the wall. Through this activity, we aim to make this anniversary month a month of gratitude. We will also share these heartfelt messages on our social media platforms, creating a series that showcases the diverse things and people our community appreciates.

For our dedicated crew, we have curated a series of motivational story sessions designed to inspire and uplift them. These sessions will feature success stories that highlight the power of ambition. To add on to this, we are offering comprehensive training sessions focused on professional development, ensuring our team continues to grow. Additionally, we'll host movie screenings that highlight the themes of ambition and grit, reinforcing the importance of dedication in achieving one’s goals.

Aachar (Rest and Relaxation) :

We understand that along with hard work and dedication, it is equally important to prioritize rest and relaxation to maintain peak performance. Keeping this in mind, we have planned activities that focus on all-round well-being for both our guests and our crew.

For our guests, we are delighted to offer a relaxing meditation session with Ameeta Ma’am. This session aims to provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, allowing you to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate.

For our hard working crew, we have organized a special spa session designed to provide much-needed relaxation. In addition, we will host an informative talk on acupressure, exploring its benefits and methods. This session aims to help our team with practical techniques to better their well-being and maintain a healthy balance between work and relaxation.
